Job description

Role: Online Business Analyst

Location : Our office in Amsterdam North (the Curve building)

Ready to work for a company that does something that really matters?

Your main goal:

As an Online Business Analyst, your key objective is to deliver insights and drive improvements on the performance of our sales engine. You'll do this by analyzing different types of data and initiating different projects taking our sales process to the next level.

Digging into the details:

  • As an Online Business Analyst, you'll continuously be gathering and analyzing available data, such as our sales figures and lead times, to uncover insights that can enhance our performance. You'll leverage data-driven insights to initiate and lead projects aimed at ensuring a seamless and efficient operation.
  • In your role as our online business analyst, you'll actively engage with other departments and colleagues to optimize the sales process from start to finish. For instance, you'll collaborate extensively with our IT & Business Intelligence department on enhancing our IT systems, algorithms, and pricing rules. You'll also liaise with the Operations team regarding warehouse improvements. In this capacity, you'll represent the Online Sales team within BuyBay in various strategic projects.
  • Furthermore, you'll work closely with our Sales Director in negotiations and actively seek out new sales channels and commercial opportunities, directly contributing to our growth. This involves maintaining intensive communication with external stakeholders, such as sales and auction platforms. You'll serve as the primary point of contact and collaborate directly with them to address (ad hoc) issues during the startup phase.

What will your team look like?
The Sales team comprises three departments: Online Sales, Customer Service, and Beluga Auctions, all prioritizing customer satisfaction. This role is part of the Online Sales department.

After returns are processed in our warehouse, they are listed on various online marketplaces such as eBay, Amazon, and Bol.com as "second chance" products. The Online Sales team ensures these products find their way to satisfied customers by managing an optimal sales process and implementing the right pricing strategy to sell products quickly and at the appropriate value on these platforms. If a product remains unsold after a few weeks, it is directed to one of our auction partners, ensuring every return gets a second chance at finding a new owner.
